FAQ
- Why did you make this website?
- Why model kits?
- How'd you come up with "eospla?" What does it mean?
- Why green?
I got the idea after playing Neopets. On Neopets, you can customize your personal and pets' pages (known as "user lookup" and "petpage") via HTML and CSS. While learning these languages, I figured, "Petpage? Why not make a website instead?"
I have a lot of hobbies. But model kits combine a lot of those (art, crafting, collecting) into one.
"eos" is taken from the model kit line Smart Daughter eos. "Pla" is short for "plamo," or the portmanteau of "plastic model."
I thought the word "eos" sounded cool and futuristic, so I used it as a prefix for my artist name, eosdoodle. When I made this website, I decided to follow the precedent and name the website "eosmodel." However, I found out that there were several things already named "eos model" (or close to it), so I changed the name to "eosplamo." I soon felt that "eosplamo" was too clunky, so I shortened it to "eospla."
I like green.
